Buildboard® by Acrilex is a 1-1/2″ thick PVC foamboard that is ideal for use in both indoor and outdoor signs. With a typically 20% lower cost than HDU (High Density Urethane), the consistent core of Buildboard® makes it a perfect product for cutting, routing, and engraving; producing great edge definition, with less mess than an HDU board, and with much greater rigidity and strength. It is also an exceptional substrate material that performs as a lightweight, Class A fire rated alternative to wood based substrates such as particleboard and MDF board (medium density fiberboard).
Buildboard® by Acrilex is waterproof, rot and insect proof, making it excellent for ground contact. It will not crack or swell and is unaffected by high-salt environments or insects. The dense cellular structure of Buildboard® also provides exceptional grip for screws, inserts, nails, staples, and other fasteners.
Buildboard® by Acrilex accepts all paint finishes and produces a clean, crisp finished result. The smooth matte finish accepts numerous adhesive types and can be laminated with HPL, fabrics, metal, and wood veneers, making Buildboard® PVC foamboard an ideal building material for a multitude of applications.
